Abstract
A robot includes: a first arm rotatable about a first rotation axis; a second arm provided on the first arm rotatably about a second rotation axis that is a different axial direction from an axial direction of the first rotation axis; and a moving part provided on the second arm rotatably about a third rotation axis. The moving part has a third arm and a fourth arm. A maximum length of the moving part is longer than a length of the second arm and shorter than twice the length of the second arm. The first arm has a length longer than the length of the second arm. The first arm and the second arm can overlap with each other, as viewed from the axial direction of the second rotation axis.
Claims11
A robot comprising:
- a first arm rotatable about a first rotation axis;
- a second arm provided on the first arm rotatably about a second rotation axis that is a different axial direction from an axial direction of the first rotation axis;
- and
- a moving part provided on the second arm rotatably about a third rotation axis, the third rotation axis having an axis direction different from the first rotation axis,
- wherein the moving part has a third arm and a fourth arm and the fourth arm is provided on the third arm rotatably about a fourth rotation axis in an axis direction different from the axis direction of the third rotation axis,
- a maximum length of the moving part is longer than a length of the second arm and shorter than twice the length of the second arm,
- the first arm includes a first segment extending parallel to the second rotation axis and a second segment extending parallel to the first rotation axis, the first segment and the second segment being a single monolithic piece such that a position of the first segment relative to the second segment is fixed and the first segment and the second segment, together, rotate about the first rotation axis,
- the second segment of the first arm has a length longer than the length of the second arm, and the second segment of the first arm and the second arm can overlap with each other, as viewed from the axial direction of the second rotation axis, and
- the second segment of the first arm connects to the second arm in a connection portion which positions the second arm spaced apart from the second segment such that he second arm rotates about the second rotation axis without contacting the second segment.
A robot system comprising:
- a cell;
- and
- a robot provided in the cell,
- the robot comprising:
- a first arm rotatable about a first rotation axis;
- a second arm provided on the first arm rotatably about a second rotation axis that is a different axial direction from an axial direction of the first rotation axis;
- and
- a moving part provided on the second arm rotatably about a third rotation axis, the third rotation axis having an axis direction different from the first rotation axis,
- wherein the moving part has a third arm and a fourth arm and the fourth arm is provided on the third arm rotatably about a fourth rotation axis in an axis direction different from the axis direction of the third rotation axis,
- a maximum length of the moving part is longer than a length of the second arm and shorter than twice the length of the second arm,
- the first arm includes a first segment extending parallel to the second rotation axis and a second segment extending parallel to the first rotation axis, the first segment and the second segment being a single monolithic piece such that a position of the first segment relative to the second segment is fixed and the first segment and the second segment, together, rotate about the first rotation axis,
- the second segment of the first arm has a length longer than the length of the second arm, and the second segment of the first arm and the second arm can overlap with each other, as viewed from the axial direction of the second rotation axis, and
- the second segment of the first arm connects to the second arm in a connection portion which positions the second arm spaced apart from the second segment such that he second arm rotates about the second rotation axis without contacting the second segment.
