Abstract
Methods and systems are described in which a node may cause a plurality of orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) symbols to be transmitted. The OFDM symbols may comprise at least a portion of a pilot and/or user data.
Claims34
A system comprising:
- a first node comprising:
- a plurality of antennas;
- and
- first circuitry configured to cause, via at least one of the plurality of antennas and based on a request for user data associated with a second node, wireless orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) transmission of:
- a first OFDM symbol comprising a first portion of a pilot;
- and
- a second OFDM symbol comprising at least a portion of the user data and a second portion of the pilot,
- wherein the pilot comprises at least one pseudorandom sequence, and the pilot is associated with the second node and with a group of nodes that comprises the first node;
- and
- the second node comprising:
- one or more antennas;
- and
- second circuitry configured to decode the pilot and the at least the portion of the user data based at least in part on the first OFDM symbol and the second OFDM symbol.

A first node comprising:
- a plurality of antennas;
- and
- circuitry configured to cause, via at least one of the plurality of antennas and based on a request for user data associated with a second node, wireless orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) transmission of:
- a first OFDM symbol comprising a first portion of a pilot;
- and
- a second OFDM symbol comprising at least a portion of the user data and a second portion of the pilot,
- wherein the pilot comprises at least one pseudorandom sequence, and the pilot is associated with the second node and with a group of nodes that comprises the first node.

A second node comprising:
- one or more antennas;
- and
- circuitry configured to:
- wirelessly transmit a request for user data;
- wirelessly receive, from a first node, an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) transmission of:
- a first OFDM symbol comprising a first portion of a pilot;
- and
- a second OFDM symbol comprising at least a portion of the user data and a second portion of the pilot,
- wherein the pilot comprises at least one pseudorandom sequence, and the pilot is associated with the second node and with a group of nodes that comprises the first node;
- and
- decode the pilot and the at least the portion of the user data based at least in part on the first OFDM symbol and the second OFDM symbol.

A method comprising:
- receiving, by a first node, a request for user data associated with a second node;
- and
- causing, via at least one of a plurality of antennas, wireless orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) transmission of:
- a first OFDM symbol comprising a first portion of a pilot;
- and
- a second OFDM symbol comprising at least a portion of the user data and a second portion of the pilot,
- wherein the pilot comprises at least one pseudorandom sequence, and the pilot is associated with the second node and with a group of nodes that comprises the first node.
