Abstract
Methods, systems, and products generate telepresence visualizations for a remote participant to a videoconference. A central server superimposes the remote participant onto images or video of the teleconferencing environment. The central server thus generates an illusion that the remote participant is in the same conferencing environment as other conferees.
Claims20
A method, comprising:
- retrieving, by a server, capture data of a videoconferencing environment associated with a videoconference;
- receiving, by the server, a stream of video data associated with a participant of the videoconference;
- superimposing, by the server, the stream of the video data associated with the participant with the capture data of the videoconferencing environment;
- receiving, by the server, a gaze direction change associated with a conferee within the videoconferencing environment;
- retrieving, by the server, updated capture data of the videoconferencing environment in response to the gaze direction change;
- and
- superimposing, by the server, the video data associated with the participant with the updated capture data of the videoconferencing environment in response to the gaze direction change.

A system for conducting a videoconference, comprising:
- a processor;
- and
- a memory device, the memory device storing code, the code when executed causing the processor to perform operations, the operations comprising:
- retrieving capture data of a videoconferencing environment associated with a videoconference;
- receiving a stream of video data associated with a participant of the videoconference;
- superimposing the stream of the video data associated with the participant with the capture data of the videoconferencing environment;
- receiving a gaze direction change associated with a conferee within the videoconferencing environment;
- retrieving updated capture data of the videoconferencing environment in response to the gaze direction change;
- and
- superimposing the video data associated with the participant onto the updated capture data of the videoconferencing environment in response to the gaze direction change.
7 more elements
A memory device storing instructions that when executed cause a processor to perform operations, the operations comprising:
- retrieving capture data of a videoconferencing environment associated with a videoconference;
- receiving a stream of video data associated with a participant of the videoconference;
- superimposing the stream of the video data associated with the participant with the capture data of the videoconferencing environment;
- receiving a gaze direction change associated with a conferee within the videoconferencing environment;
- retrieving updated capture data of the videoconferencing environment in response to the gaze direction change;
- and
- superimposing the video data associated with the participant onto the updated capture data of the videoconferencing environment in response to the gaze direction change.
