Abstract
A method and system for managing images are provided. In one example, the system determines a category of a file being edited by a user in response to a user action indicating an intent to include in the file an image associated with an entity. Based on the category of the file, the system presents predetermined images associated with the entity for user selection of the image to be included in the file.
Claims27
A digital image managing method, comprising:
- determining, by at least one processor, a category of a file being edited by a user in response to a user action indicating an intent to include in the file a digital image associated with an entity, wherein the file is a web page, a word processor document, or a slide presentation;
- and
- based on the category of the file, presenting , by the at least one processor, predetermined digital images associated with the entity for user selection of the digital image to be included in the file.
A non-transitory computer-readable medium having stored thereon program instructions that, when executed by at least one processor, cause the at least one processor to:
- determine a category of a file being edited by a user in response to a user action indicating an intent to include in the file a digital image associated with an entity, wherein the file is a web page, a word processor document, or a slide presentation;
- and
- based on the category of the file, present predetermined digital images associated with the entity for user selection of the digital image to be included in the file.
A digital image managing system, comprising:
- at least one processor;
- memory;
- and
- program instructions that are stored in the memory and, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the at least one processor to perform functions including:
- determining a category of a file being edited by a user in response to a user action indicating an intent to include in the file a digital image associated with an entity, wherein the file is a web page, a word processor document, or a slide presentation, and
- based on the category of the file, presenting predetermined digital images associated with the entity for user selection of the digital image to be included in the file.
A digital image managing method, comprising:
- determining, by at least one processor, a category of a file being edited by a user in response to a user action indicating an intent to include in the file a digital image associated with an entity, wherein the file is a web page, a word processor document, or a slide presentation;
- determining, by the at least one processor, whether a given digital image that the user intends to include in the file is associated with the category of the file;
- and
- if the given digital image is associated with a category different than the category of the file, providing to the user, by the at least one processor, a message that warns the user that the given digital image may be inappropriate for use with the file based on the category of the file.
