- receiving payment in exchange for credits usable on the interactive entertainment device to play instances of media;
- playing back, via the interactive entertainment device, instances of media from a queue of selected instances of media;
- receiving user inputs via a user interface;
- in response to a user input, adding a user-selected instance of media to the queue in exchange for a predetermined number of credits;
- in response to a user input, causing a camera provided to the interactive entertainment device to take a picture and/or video;
- in response to a user input, obtaining an image and/or video from the camera, and displaying the obtained image and/or video on a display of the interactive entertainment device substantially in real time;
- and
- wired and/or wireless connecting with an additional hardware component,
- wherein the additional hardware component is a musical instrument.
A non-transitory computer readable storage medium tangibly storing instructions that, when performed using a processor of an interactive entertainment device provided in an out-of-home pay-for-play location, control the digital jukebox device to at least:
- receive payment in exchange for credits usable on the interactive entertainment device to play instances of media;
- play back, via the interactive entertainment device, instances of media from a queue of selected instances of media;
- receive user inputs via a user interface;
- in response to a user input, add a user-selected instance of media to the queue in exchange for a predetermined number of credits;
- in response to a user input, cause a camera provided to the interactive entertainment device to take a picture and/or video;
- in response to a user input, obtain an image and/or video from the camera, display the obtained image and/or video on a display of the interactive entertainment device substantially in real time;
