The protective case including a plurality of storage compartments for retaining a series of items. The protective case includes a removable upper portion allowing unobstructed access to the portable electronic device camera and includes a plurality of corner accessories disposed within and forming the corners of the protective case. ## Claims ### Claim 1 A protective case for a portable electronic device, the portable electronic device including a back having a camera lens, the protective case comprising: a) a back portion secured to the back of the portable electronic device, the back portion having a camera lens cover configured to protect the camera lens when in a closed position; b) at least one storage compartment integrated within the camera lens cover of the back portion of the protective case, the storage compartment having a plurality of walls that substantially enclose all sides of an open internal space sufficient to store an item without the item falling out of the storage compartment, the plurality of walls defining a uniform internal depth; wherein the camera lens cover makes up a sub-part of the back portion of the protective case, with a non-lens-cover portion comprising the remaining part of the back portion, wherein the camera lens cover abuts the non-lens-cover part along a straight edge of the camera lens cover, and wherein a hinge connects the non-lens-cover part to the straight edge of the camera lens cover, and further wherein the camera lens cover rotates around the hinge when repositioned between an open position and the closed position. ### Claim 2 (depends on 1) The protective case of claim 1, wherein the storage compartment is rectangular. ### Claim 3 (depends on 2) The protective case of claim 2, wherein the uniform internal depth is at least 6 mm. ### Claim 4 (depends on 1) The protective case of claim 1, wherein the uniform internal depth is at least 6 mm. ### Claim 5 (depends on 1) The protective case of claim 1, wherein the storage compartment contains the item, and the item is selected from a group of items comprising: a tweezers, a first aid product, a stylus, a screwdriver, a cosmetic applicator, and a cable. ### Claim 6 (depends on 5) The protective case of claim 5, wherein the storage compartment includes a mat to frictionally secure the item within the storage compartment. ### Claim 7 (depends on 6) The protective case of claim 6, wherein the mat has at least one tacky surface to assist in securing the item within the storage compartment. ### Claim 8 A protective case for a portable electronic device, the portable electronic device including a back having a camera lens, the protective case comprising: a) a back portion secured to the back of the portable electronic device, the back portion having a camera lens cover configured to protect the camera lens when in a closed position; b) at least one storage compartment integrated within the camera lens cover of the back portion of the protective case, the storage compartment having a plurality of walls that substantially enclose all sides of an open internal space sufficient to store an item without the item falling out of the storage compartment, the plurality of walls defining a uniform internal depth; wherein the back portion further comprises a first back portion side and second back portion side, wherein the first and second back portion sides approach and do not meet at a corner, further comprising: c) a corner storage compartment located at the corner; and d) a corner accessory, the corner accessory configured to be fully removable from the corner storage compartment, the corner accessory comprising: i) a body that extends into the corner storage compartment when the corner accessory is engaged within the corner storage compartment, and ii) a head attached to the body, the head having a first head side that abuts the first back portion side and a second head side that abuts the second back portion side, wherein the first and second head sides meet at the corner of the back portion and remains external to the corner storage compartment even when the body is fully engaged within the corner storage compartment.
