Abstract
A novel maize variety designated PH2FNV and seed, plants and plant parts thereof are provided. Methods for producing a maize plant comprise crossing maize variety PH2FNV with another maize plant are provided. Methods for producing a maize plant containing in its genetic material one or more traits introgressed into PH2FNV through backcross conversion and/or transformation, and to the maize seed, plant and plant part produced thereby are provided. Hybrid maize seed, plants or plant parts are produced by crossing the variety PH2FNV or a locus conversion of PH2FNV with another maize variety.
Claims20
A seed, plant, plant part, or plant cell of inbred maize variety PH2FNV, representative seed of the variety having been deposited under ATCC accession number PTA-125259.
A converted seed, plant, plant part or plant cell of inbred maize variety PH2FNV, representative seed of the maize variety PH2FNV having been deposited under ATCC accession number PTA-125259, wherein the converted seed, plant, plant part or plant cell comprises a locus conversion introduced by genetic transformation or backcrossing, and wherein the plant or a plant grown from the converted seed, plant part or plant cell comprises the locus conversion and otherwise comprises the phenotypic characteristics of maize variety PH2FNV listed in Table 1 when grown under the same environmental conditions.
A plant of inbred maize variety PH2FNV further comprising a single locus conversion, wherein the single locus conversion is achieved by genetic transformation or backcrossing, representative seed of the inbred maize variety having been deposited under ATCC accession number PTA-125259.
