Abstract
A novel hybrid tomato plant, designated 58811 is disclosed. The invention relates to the seeds of tomato hybrid 58811, to the plants and plant parts of hybrid tomato 58811, and to methods for producing a tomato plant by crossing the hybrid tomato 58811 with itself or another tomato plant. The invention further relates to methods for producing a tomato plant containing in its genetic material one or more transgenes and to the transgenic plants produced by that method and to methods for producing other tomato plants derived from the hybrid tomato plant 58811.
Claims29
A seed of hybrid tomato designated 58811, wherein a representative sample of seed of said hybrid has been deposited under NCIMB No. 42749.
A tomato plant, a plant part, or a plant cell thereof, wherein the plant, a plant regenerated from the plant part or the plant cell has all of the physiological and morphological characteristics of hybrid 58811 listed in Table 1 when grown under the same environmental conditions, wherein a representative sample of seed of hybrid 58811 has been deposited under NCIMB No. 42749.
A tomato plant, a plant part, or a plant cell thereof, wherein the plant, a plant regenerated from the plant part or the plant cell has all of the physiological and morphological characteristics of hybrid 58811, wherein a representative sample of seed of said hybrid has been deposited under NCIMB No. 42749.
A tomato plant further comprising a single locus conversion and otherwise all of the physiological and morphological characteristics of hybrid 58811 listed in Table 1 when grown under the same environmental conditions, wherein a representative sample of seed of said hybrid has been deposited under NCIMB No. 42749.
A method of producing a tomato plant, comprising using tomato hybrid 58811 as a rootstock or a scion to produce a grafted tomato plant, wherein a representative sample of seed of said tomato hybrid 58811 has been deposited under NCIMB No. 42747.
