Abstract
A reproducing device that can reproduce data and operates on a battery includes displaying means, attitude detecting means for detecting an attitude of the reproducing device, determining means for determining whether the reproducing device satisfies a predetermined condition, and controlling means for changing a setting of the reproducing device on a basis of a result of detection of the attitude detecting means when the determining means determines that the reproducing device satisfies the predetermined condition.

A display control apparatus comprising:
- sensing circuitry configured to determine an attitude of the display control apparatus;
- and
- control circuitry configured to
- control a power supply circuitry to supply power to a display unit,
- control the display unit to display a first screen in a first predetermined orientation,
- control the display unit to change from displaying the first screen to a second screen in a second orientation based on the attitude determined by the sensing circuitry,
- control the display unit to display the second screen in an orientation of a previous screen based on a lack of the attitude of the display control apparatus, and
- control the display unit to maintain the first predetermined orientation regardless of the attitude determined by the sensing circuitry when the first screen is an animation.

- determining, with sensing circuitry, an attitude of an display control apparatus;
- controlling a power supply circuitry to supply power to a display unit;
- controlling the display unit to display a first screen in a first predetermined orientation;
