Abstract
An image processing apparatus includes a detection unit configured to detect at least one identical object or at least one object of an identical type from images captured by a plurality of imaging apparatuses, a selection unit configured to select at least one object from among at least one detected object based on color information of each object, and a determination unit configured to determine color correction information related to a plurality of the imaging apparatuses based on color information of at least one selected object. The image processing apparatus enables restricting the degradation of the color matching accuracy.
Claims20
An image processing apparatus comprising:
- a detection unit configured to detect at least one identical object or at least one object of an identical type from images captured by a plurality of imaging apparatuses, wherein each imaging apparatus is a camera;
- a selection unit configured to select, as an object for determining color correction information, at least one object which is captured in common by at least two imaging apparatuses included in the plurality of imaging apparatuses from among at least one detected object;
- and
- a determination unit configured to determine the color correction information that is used for the color correction of the plurality of imaging apparatuses based on color information of the at least one selected object,
- wherein the selection unit is configured to select an object having an attribute smaller than a predetermined frequency from among the at least one detected object, and
- wherein each unit is implemented by one or more processors, circuitry or a combination thereof.
An image processing method comprising:
- detecting at least one identical object or at least one object of an identical type from images captured by a plurality of imaging apparatuses, wherein each imaging apparatus is a camera;
- selecting, as an object for determining color correction information, at least one object which is captured in common by at least two imaging apparatuses included in the plurality of imaging apparatuses from among at least one detected object;
- and
- determining the color correction information that is used for the color correction of the plurality of imaging apparatuses based on color information of at least one selected object,
- wherein the selecting selects an object having an attribute smaller than a predetermined frequency from among the at least one detected object.
A non-transitory computer readable recording medium that stores a program for causing a computer to function as the units of an image processing apparatus comprising:
- a detection unit configured to detect at least one identical object or at least one object of an identical type from images captured by a plurality of imaging apparatuses, wherein each imaging apparatus is a camera;
- a selection unit configured to select, as an object for determining color correction information, at least one object which is captured in common by at least two imaging apparatuses included in the plurality of imaging apparatuses from among at least one detected object;
- and
- a determination unit configured to determine the color correction information that is used for the color correction of the plurality of imaging apparatuses based on color information of at least one selected object,
- wherein the selection unit is configured to select an object having an attribute smaller than a predetermined frequency from among the at least one detected object.
