Abstract
A method for masking content to be displayed on the electronic device is provided. The method includes receiving, by a processor in the electronic device, the content to be displayed on the electronic device, determining, by the processor, that at least one portion of the content is objectionable content based on a semantic signature of a content filter, and masking, by the processor, the at least one portion of the content displayed on the electronic device based on the detection.
Claims18
A method for masking content displayed on an electronic device, the method comprising:
- receiving, by at least one processor in the electronic device, the content to be displayed on the electronic device;
- computing, by the at least one processor, a semantic signature of the at least one portion of the content to be displayed on the electronic device;
- determining, by the at least one processor, a degree of similarity between the semantic signature of the at least one portion of the content and a semantic signature of a content filter;
- determining, by the at least one processor, the at least one portion of the content as an objectionable content based on the degree of similarity;
- and
- masking, by the at least one processor, the determined objectionable content displayed on the electronic device based on the determination,
- wherein a type of masking is determined based on the degree of similarity.
An electronic device for masking content, the electronic device comprising:
- a display configured to display contents;
- and
- at least one processor configured to:
- receive the content to be displayed on the electronic device,
- compute a semantic signature of at least one portion of the content to be displayed on the electronic device,
- determine a degree of similarity between the semantic signature of the at least one portion of the content and a semantic signature of a content filter,
- determine the at least one portion of the content as an objectionable content based on the degree of similarity, and
- mask the determined objectionable content displayed on the electronic device based on the determination,
- wherein the at least one processor is further configured to determine a type of masking based on the degree of similarity.
An electronic device comprising:
- a display;
- and
- a processor,
- wherein the processor is configured to:
- receive content to be displayed on the display,
- determine a degree of similarity between at least one portion of the content and the theme of a content filter,
- filter the at least one portion of the content to be masked based on the degree of similarity, and
- control to render the at least one portion of the content with a visual effect based on a result of the filtering.
