Lithium-ion battery having a bonding agent

A lithium-ion battery, comprising:

• a positive electrode;
• a negative electrode;
• a separator;
• and
• an electrolyte,
• wherein at least one of the positive electrode, the negative electrode, and/or the separator comprises a bonding agent, the bonding agent comprising a polymer having at least four different structural units represented by each of Formula I, Formula II, Formula III, and Formula IV:
• wherein each of R1, R2, R3, and R4 is independently selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, and C1-8 straight-chain or branched alkyl groups substituted by a substituting group or not substituted by a substituting group, wherein each of R5, R6, and R7 is independently selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, and C1-6 straight-chain or branched alkyl groups substituted by a substituting group or not substituted by a substituting group,
• R8 is selected from C1-15 alkyl groups substituted by a substituting group or not substituted by a substituting group,
• each of R9, R10, and R11 is independently selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, and C1-6 straight-chain or branched alkyl groups substituted by a substituting group or not substituted by a substituting group, and
• the substituting group is selected from halogens, and wherein each of n1, n2, n3 and n4 is independently an integer greater than 0.
