Abstract
An automated commissioning and floorplan configuration (CAFC) device can include a CAFC system having a transceiver and a CAFC engine, where the transceiver communicates with at least one device disposed in a volume of space, where the CAFC engine, based on communication between the transceiver and the at least one device, commissions the at least one device.

An automated commissioning and floorplan configuration (CAFC) device, comprising:
- a CAFC system comprising a transceiver and a CAFC engine, wherein the CAFC system is configured to:
- travel along a path in a volume of space with no previous knowledge of contents within the volume of space;
- identify, while traveling along the path, at least one piece of equipment in the volume of space;
- communicate, using the CAFC engine and the transceiver, with the at least one piece of equipment, wherein communicating with the at least one piece of equipment comprises receiving first identification information of the at least one piece of equipment and sending commissioning instructions to the at least one piece of equipment;
- identify, using the CAFC engine, a shape and a size of the at least one piece of equipment;
- and
- map the at least one piece of equipment in the volume of space.
A non-transitory computer-readable medium comprising instructions that when executed by a hardware processor perform a method for auto-commissioning a system of equipment, the method comprising:
- traveling along a path in a volume of space with no previous knowledge of contents within the volume of space;
- identifying, while traveling along a first section of the path, a first piece of equipment in the volume of space;
- communicating with the first piece of equipment in the volume of space, wherein communicating with the first piece of equipment comprises receiving first identification information of the first piece of equipment and sending commissioning instructions to the first piece of equipment;
- identifying a shape and a size of the first piece of equipment;
- and
- mapping the first piece of equipment in the volume of space.
