Abstract
Methods are described for generating autologous tissue grafts, including generating grafts at the point of care, which include isolated cell populations that are enriched with stem cells and are mixed with biological fillers including hyaluronic acid and derivatives thereof. The hyaluronic acid localizes the cells to a desired injection site and stimulates collagen production thus enhancing the viability and the longevity of the graft.
Claims14
A method of preparing and administering, at a point of care, an injectable cell graft for treating or preventing urinary incontinence comprising:
- isolating an autologous stromal vascular fraction (SVF) cell preparation from an adipose tissue of a mammal by releasing cells from a connective tissue matrix of the adipose tissue and substantially removing debris and adipocytes without subjecting the autologous SVF cell preparation to expansion in culture and without subjecting the autologous SVF cell preparation to plastic adherence;
- and
- injecting or implanting the autologous SVF cell preparation into a bladder tissue at the point of care without culturing of the autologous SVF cell preparation.
A method of preparing and administering an injectable cell graft for treating or preventing urinary incontinence in a patient in need thereof comprising:
- isolating an autologous stromal vascular fraction (SVF) cell preparation from an adipose tissue of the patient by releasing cells from a connective tissue matrix of the adipose tissue and substantially removing debris and adipocytes without subjecting the autologous SVF cell preparation to expansion in culture and without subjecting the autologous SVF cell preparation to plastic adherence;
- and
- injecting or implanting the autologous SVF cell preparation into a bladder tissue of the patient without culturing of the autologous SVF cell preparation.
