The present invention relates to methods for treating pruritus with anti-pruritic compositions.

A method of treating prurigo nodularis comprising orally administering an effective amount of an anti-pruritus agent to a human subject in need of such treatment, wherein the anti-pruritus agent is nalbuphine or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt or ester thereof.
