A novel maize variety designated X05M941 and seed, plants and plant parts thereof are produced by crossing inbred maize varieties. Methods for producing a maize plant by crossing hybrid maize variety X05M941 with another maize plant are disclosed. Methods for producing a maize plant containing in its genetic material one or more traits introgressed into X05M941 through backcrossing or genetic transformation, and to the maize seed, plant and plant part produced thereby are described. Maize variety X05M941, the seed, the plant produced from the seed, and variants, mutants, and minor modifications of maize variety X05M941 are provided. Methods for producing maize varieties derived from maize variety X05M941 and methods of using maize variety X05M941 are disclosed.
A seed of hybrid maize variety X05M941, representative seed produced by crossing a first plant of variety PH41BB with a second plant of variety PH2DYM, wherein representative seed of the varieties PH41BB and PH2DYM have been deposited under ATCC Accession Numbers PTA-124788 and PTA-124094, respectively.
A seed of hybrid maize variety X05M941 further comprising a single locus conversion, the single locus conversion being introduced by genetic transformation or backcrossing, wherein a plant grown from the seed comprises a trait conferred by the single locus conversion, and wherein the seed is produced by crossing a first plant of variety PH41BB with a second plant of variety PH2DYM, wherein the first plant, the second plant or both further comprise the single locus conversion, and wherein representative seed of the varieties PH41BB and PH2DYM have been deposited under ATCC Accession Numbers PTA-124788 and PTA-124094, respectively.
A method for producing a hybrid maize variety X05M941 seed further comprising a locus conversion, the method comprising crossing a first plant of variety PH41BB with a second plant of variety PH2DYM, representative seed of the varieties PH41BB and PH2DYM having been deposited under ATCC Accession Numbers PTA-124788 and PTA-124094, respectively, wherein at least one of the varieties PH41BB and PH2DYM further comprises the locus conversion.
