System and method for receiving a single-use vessel

A system for receiving a single-use vessel that has a mixing device disposed at least partly within the single-use vessel, the system comprising:

• a support structure configured to receive the single-use vessel, the support structure having a couple section disposed and configured so that at least part of the mixing device is accessible at the couple section when the single use vessel is received by the support structure, and
• a drive-unit that is moveable relative to the support structure from a separated position where the drive unit is separated completely from the support structure and from the mixing device and an operating position where the drive unit is in the couple section and at a position to be connected to the mixing device of the single-use vessel in the support structure to power, to control, or to power and control the mixing device disposed at least partly within the single-use vessel for mixing of contents of the single-use vessel when the single-use vessel is arranged in the support structure,

• the drive-unit comprises a tag reader that is movable with the drive unit and relative to the support structure so that, in the operating position, the tag reader is arranged in the couple section to read a vessel tag of the single-use vessel arranged in the support structure.
