Information processing apparatus and method, and program storage medium

An information processing method, comprising:

• receiving, by circuitry of a portable apparatus, a plurality of content data from a computer via a first connector;
• storing by the circuitry of the portable apparatus, the plurality of content data in a memory;
• and
• playing back, by the circuitry of the portable apparatus, the plurality of content data stored in the memory,
• wherein the computer stores the plurality of content data to a storage medium, provides a graphical user interface to receive an input identifying a list of the plurality of content data stored in said storage medium that is to be transferred to the portable apparatus via a second connector, and causes the circuitry of the portable apparatus to delete, from the memory at least one content data that is stored in both the memory and said storage medium, the at least one content data being deleted from the memory in response to a determination that the at least one content data is not included in the list of the plurality of content data to be transferred to the portable apparatus.

A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing a program which, when executed by a first computer, causes the first computer to perform an information processing method of a portable apparatus, the method comprising:

• receiving a plurality of content data from a second computer via a first connector;
• storing the plurality of content data in a memory;
• and
• playing back the plurality of content data stored in the memory,
• wherein the second computer stores the plurality of content data to a storage medium, provides a graphical user interface to receive an input identifying a list of the plurality of content data stored in said storage medium that is to be transferred to the portable apparatus via a second connector, and causes the first computer to delete, from the memory, at least one content data that is stored in both the memory and said storage medium, the at least one content data being deleted from the memory in response to a determination that the at least one content data is not included in the list of the plurality of content data to be transferred to the portable apparatus.
