Abstract
Wound debridement compositions containing the proteolytic enzyme Seaprose and use of such compositions in wound treatment for the enzymatic debridement of wounds.
Claims15
A method of debriding a wound that includes necrotic tissue, the method comprising applying to the wound a composition comprising a semi-alkaline protease produced by the fermentation of the fungus Aspergillus melleus (Seaprose), wherein application of the composition debrides necrotic tissue in the wound.
