Abstract
Described herein are compositions and methods of using placental stem cell recruiting factors, more specifically, isolated placental stem cell recruiting factors. In one embodiment, isolated placental stem cell recruiting factors are delivered to a site such as a diseased or injured organ and/or body part in an amount sufficient to recruit stem cells to the site.
Claims10
A composition comprising
- a localization agent,
- isolated placental stem cell recruiting factors in an amount sufficient to recruit stem cells to a diseased or injured organ or body part in vivo, and
- a modified placental tissue, said modified placental tissue comprising a laminated tissue graft comprising at least two layers selected from the group consisting of amnion, chorion, and a combination thereof, said layers directly laminated to each other, wherein the modified placental tissue comprises a fibroblast cellular layer;
- wherein said localization agent is selected from the group consisting of a hydrogel, a biocompatible polymer, a thixotropic agent, a phase-changing agent, and a collagen gel.
