Abstract
The present invention provides a solid dispersion of rufinamide in combination with a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier, process for its preparation and pharmaceutical compositions comprising it.
Claims7
A solid dispersion of rufinamide in combination with a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier, wherein the pharmaceutically acceptable carrier is hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, further wherein the solid dispersion of rufinamide in combination with the pharmaceutically acceptable carrier has a powder X-ray diffractogram when measured using copper-Kalpha radiation as shown in FIG. 1.
A pharmaceutical composition comprising a therapeutically effective amount of a solid dispersion of rufinamide in combination with a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier, wherein the pharmaceutically acceptable carrier is hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, further wherein the solid dispersion of rufinamide in combination with the pharmaceutically acceptable carrier has a powder X-ray diffractogram when measured using copper-Ka radiation as shown in FIG. 1, and at least one pharmaceutically acceptable excipient.
