Abstract
A novel maize variety designated X95M191 and seed, plants and plant parts thereof are produced by crossing inbred maize varieties. Methods for producing a maize plant by crossing hybrid maize variety X95M191 with another maize plant are disclosed. Methods for producing a maize plant containing in its genetic material one or more traits introgressed into X95M191 through backcrossing or genetic transformation, and to the maize seed, plant and plant part produced thereby are described. Maize variety X95M191, the seed, the plant produced from the seed, and variants, mutants, and minor modifications of maize variety X95M191 are provided. Methods for producing maize varieties derived from maize variety X95M191 and methods of using maize variety X95M191 are disclosed.
Claims20
A seed of hybrid maize variety X95M191, representative seed produced by crossing a first plant of variety PH25S9 with a second plant of variety PH42YN, wherein representative seed of the varieties PH25S9 and PH42YN have been deposited under ATCC Accession Numbers PTA-124064 and PTA-124769, respectively.
A seed of hybrid maize variety X95M191 further comprising a single locus conversion, wherein a plant grown from the seed comprises a trait conferred by the single locus conversion, and wherein the seed is produced by crossing a first plant of variety PH25S9 with a second plant of variety PH42YN, wherein at least one of the varieties further comprises the single locus conversion, and wherein representative seed of the varieties PH25S9 and PH42YN have been deposited under ATCC Accession Numbers PTA-124064 and PTA-124769, respectively.
A method for producing a hybrid maize variety X95M191 seed further comprising a locus conversion, the method comprising crossing a first plant of variety PH25S9 with a second plant of variety PH42YN, representative seed of the varieties PH25S9 and PH42YN having been deposited under ATCC Accession Numbers PTA-124064 and PTA-124769, respectively, wherein at least one of the varieties PH25S9 and PH42YN further comprises the locus conversion.
