Vehicle drive device

A vehicle drive device comprising:

• a mechanical oil pump that is driven by a driving force source for a wheel;
• an auxiliary oil pressure source;
• a driving force transmission mechanism that transmits a driving force between the driving force source and the wheel;
• and
• a case that accommodates at least the driving force transmission mechanism, wherein
• the mechanical oil pump includes a mechanical pump rotor and a mechanical pump housing forming a pump chamber that accommodates the mechanical pump rotor,
• the auxiliary oil pressure source includes an auxiliary oil pressure generation mechanism that generates an auxiliary oil pressure, and an auxiliary oil pressure source housing that accommodates the auxiliary oil pressure generation mechanism,
• the mechanical pump housing is attached to a wall in the case, and
• the auxiliary oil pressure source housing is attached to the mechanical pump housing, wherein
• the mechanical pump housing includes a first attachment surface that faces an axial first direction side or one side in an axial direction of a mechanical pump axis as a rotation axis of the mechanical pump rotor, and a second attachment surface that faces an axial second direction side in an opposite direction to the axial first direction, and
• the mechanical pump housing is attached to the case such that the first attachment surface contacts the wall, and the auxiliary oil pressure source housing is attached to the mechanical pump housing such that the auxiliary oil pressure source housing contacts the second attachment surface.
