Claims17
A roofing component, comprising:
- at least a first layer and a second layer of polyethylene thermoplastic, the first layer having a first color and the second layer having a second color, wherein the roofing component has a first side of the first color and a second side of the second color;
- and
- a UV absorber comprising between approximately 1 and less than 3 wt. % carbon black substantially uniformly mixed with the polyethylene thermoplastic.
A step flashing, comprising:
- a first layer of a high density polyethylene (HDPE) having a first color;
- and
- a second layer of a HDPE having a second color, wherein the first and second layers include between approximately 1 and less than 3 wt. % carbon black, and wherein the step flashing has a thickness of between about 0.25 mm and about 1.0 mm.
