Abstract
The invention is directed to compositions of vitamin D having enhanced bioavailability and enhanced stability. Methods of making and using the compositions of the invention are contemplated and disclosed.
Claims12
A method of making a composition of vitamin D having enhanced bioavailability and enhanced stability, the method comprising:
- a) providing vitamin D;
- and
- b) contacting the vitamin D with tomato seed oil;
- c) wherein contacting the vitamin D with the tomato seed oil increases the bioavailability and stability of the vitamin D compared to the bioavailability and stability of control vitamin D that has not been contacted with tomato seed oil.
