## Abstract

A projector includes: an I/F unit to which an image signal is input; a display unit that displays an image based on the image signal input to the I/F unit; a shift device that changes a position of an image to be displayed by the display unit; a signal processing unit that outputs a driving signal to the shift device and drives the shift device; and a shift control unit that controls the driving signal output by the signal processing unit. The shift control unit changes an output timing of the driving signal to correspond to a change in a frequency of the image signal.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A projector comprising:
a processor configured to receive an image signal as an input;
a display that displays an image based on the inputted image signal; and
an image displacement unit that changes a position of the image displayed by the display, wherein
the processor is configured to:
output a driving signal to the image displacement unit to drive the image displacement unit; and
control the outputted driving signal such that an output timing of the driving signal is changed corresponding to a change in a frequency of the image signal by correcting a delay time of the output timing based on a difference between the frequency of the image signal and a preset frequency.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The projector according to claim 1, further comprising:
a memory that stores information in which the frequency of the image signal is associated with the output timing of the driving signal,
wherein the processor acquires the output timing associated with the frequency of the image signal from the memory and outputs the driving signal at the acquired output timing.

### Claim 3 (depends on 1)

The projector according to claim 1, wherein the processor calculates the output timing associated with the frequency of the image signal and outputs the driving signal at the calculated output timing.

### Claim 4 (depends on 1)

The projector according to claim 1, wherein the processor sets a delay time of the output timing of the driving signal with respect to a vertical synchronization signal of the image signal.

### Claim 5 (depends on 1)

The projector according to claim 1, wherein the processor changes the output timing of the driving signal in a case in which the frequency of the image signal is different from the preset frequency.

### Claim 6 (depends on 5)

The projector according to claim 5, further comprising:
a memory that stores information in which the frequency of the image signal is associated with the output timing of the driving signal;
wherein the processor is configured to:
detect the frequency of the image signal;
calculate a correction value for correcting the output timing of the driving signal in a case in which the detected frequency is different from the preset frequency; and
correct the output timing of the driving signal acquired from the memory based on the calculated correction value.

### Claim 7 (depends on 6)

The projector according to claim 6, wherein the processor is configured to:
calculate a correction value for latening the output timing of the driving signal in response to the detected frequency being less than the preset frequency, and
calculate a correction value for advancing the output timing of the driving signal in response to the detected frequency being greater than the preset frequency.

### Claim 8 (depends on 1)

The projector according to claim 1, wherein:
the image displacement unit includes:
an optical member,
