## Abstract

A method and an apparatus for sharing content are provided. Information about at least one content is transmitted to an external device. Information about associated content that have been searched for by the external device based on the transmitted information about the at least one content is received from the external device. Content to share with a second user device are selected from among the associated content based on a predetermined condition. Information about the selected content is transmitted to the second user device.

## Claims

### Claim 1

control the transceiver to receive, from a first device, a first playlist comprising first information relating to a first audio content and a second audio content that are stored in the first device, wherein the first audio content and the second audio content are played by the first device;
control to identify a third audio content and a fourth audio content that are stored in the server and that respectively correspond to the received first information relating to the first audio content and the second audio content that are stored in the first device;
in response to the third audio content and the fourth audio content that are stored in the server and that respectively correspond to the received first information relating to the first audio content and the second audio content that are stored in the first device being identified, control the transceiver to transmit, to a second device, a second playlist comprising second information for accessing the identified third audio content and the identified fourth audio content that are stored in the server, wherein the third audio content and the fourth audio content are downloaded or streamed by the second device from the server;
