## Abstract

Detection of a confusion caused by scrambling code reuse is provided herein. Timing measurements, as observed by a mobile device, and an identification of primary scrambling codes associated with the timing measurements are captured. The timing measurements are identified by the primary scrambling codes for the particular radio measured. The mobile device also reports its location information. Radios for which timing measurements have been received are paired. Based on the paired radios and a history of observed time difference reference values for radio pairs, comparisons are made between paired radios having at least one common radio. Radios, exhibiting a set of values that is near an expected range, are removed from the analysis. Radios, exhibiting two sets of values that are distinct, are isolated in order to identify the radio that is causing the scrambling code confusion.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A system, comprising:
a processor; and
a memory that stores executable instructions that, when executed by the processor, facilitate performance of operations, comprising:
comparing first reference values associated with a first transmission time difference of a first radio pair to second reference values associated with a second transmission time difference of a second radio pair, resulting in comparison data; and
in response to determining that the second radio pair contributes to a transmission interference based on the comparison data, identifying a scrambling code to allocate for use by the second radio pair.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The system of claim 1, wherein the first reference values and the second reference values comprise radio identification data representative of respective radio identifications.

### Claim 3 (depends on 1)

The system of claim 1, wherein the first reference values are generated by matching location data from a mobile device to the first reference values.

### Claim 4 (depends on 3)

The system of claim 3, wherein the operations further comprise:
determining a propagation delay associated with the comparison data.

### Claim 5 (depends on 4)

The system of claim 4, wherein the operations further comprise:
in response to the determining the propagation delay, removing the propagation delay from the comparison data.

### Claim 6 (depends on 1)

The system of claim 1, wherein the operations further comprise:
determining that the first radio pair contributes to the transmission interference based on the comparison data.

### Claim 7 (depends on 1)

The system of claim 1, wherein the second reference values associated with the second transmission time difference of the second radio pair comprise reference values within a tolerance range.

### Claim 8 (depends on 1)

The system of claim 1, wherein first radio pair is different from the second radio pair.

### Claim 9 (depends on 1)

The system of claim 1, wherein the operations further comprise:
generating report data that identifies the second radio pair as causing the transmission interference.

### Claim 10 (depends on 9)

The system of claim 9, wherein the report data is transmitted to a mobile device to decrease the transmission interference.

### Claim 11 (depends on 10)

The system of claim 10, wherein the operations further comprise:
mapping a location associated with the mobile device to time data reported by the mobile device.

### Claim 12

A method, comprising:
comparing, by a system comprising a processor, first time difference data representative of a first time difference of respective first transmissions of a first radio pair of radio pairs to second time difference data representative of a second time difference of respective second transmissions of a second radio pair of the radio pairs, resulting in comparison data;
based on the comparison data, determining, by the system, that the second radio pair is causing a transmission interference; and
in response to the determining that the second radio pair of the radio pairs is causing the transmission interference, assigning, by the system, a scrambling code to the second radio pair to be used by the second radio pair.

### Claim 13 (depends on 12)

The method of claim 12, further comprising:
in response to generating the first time difference data and generating the second time difference data, determining, by the system, a first propagation delay associated with the first time difference and a second propagation delay associated with the second time difference.

### Claim 14 (depends on 13)

The method of claim 13, further comprising:
based on the determining the first propagation delay, removing, by the system, the first propagation delay from a time difference between the first time difference and the second time difference, resulting in a modified time difference, wherein the modified time difference is used to create reference values.

### Claim 15 (depends on 12)

The method of claim 12, further comprising:
collecting, by the system, the first time difference data and the second time difference data, wherein the collecting comprises using artificial intelligence to control which data the collecting collects.

### Claim 16 (depends on 12)

The method of claim 12, further comprising:
in response to the determining that the second radio pair of the radio pairs is causing the transmission interference, generating, by the system, the scrambling code.

### Claim 17

A non-transitory machine-readable medium, comprising executable instructions that, when executed by a processor, facilitate performance of operations, comprising:
in response to a comparison of first reference data related to a first radio pair to second reference data related to a second radio pair, determining that the first radio pair interferes with a transmission;
in response to the determining that the first radio pair interferes with the transmission based on the comparison, reassigning a scrambling code of the first radio pair; and
in response to the reassigning the scrambling code, updating a scrambling code data structure associated with a reuse of the scrambling code.

### Claim 18 (depends on 17)

The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 17, wherein the first reference data is determined by matching location data from a mobile device to reference data.

### Claim 19 (depends on 18)

The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 18, wherein the operations further comprise:
determining a location based on timing measurements relating to the mobile device; and
mapping the location to the mobile device.

### Claim 20 (depends on 19)

The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 19, wherein the operations further comprise:
generating a report associated with the location of the mobile device and the timing measurements.
