## Abstract

Disclosed herein are catalyst compositions containing bicyclic bridged metallocene compounds. These catalyst compositions can be used for the polymerization of olefins. For example, ethylene polymers produced using these catalyst compositions can be characterized by low molecular weights and high melt flow rates, and can be produced without the addition of hydrogen.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A metallocene compound having the formula:
wherein:
M is Ti, Zr, or Hf;
each X independently is a monoanionic ligand;
E is a hydrocarbon bicyclic bridging group with a single carbon atom connected to Cp1 and Cp2; and
Cp1 and Cp2 independently are a substituted or unsubstituted cyclopentadienyl, indenyl, or fluorenyl group.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The compound of claim 1, wherein:
E is a C7 to C12 hydrocarbon bicyclic bridging group; and
at least one of Cp1 and Cp2 has a C1 to C18 hydrocarbyl substituent.

### Claim 3 (depends on 2)

The compound of claim 2, wherein each X is Cl.

### Claim 4 (depends on 1)

The compound of claim 1, wherein:
at least one of Cp1 and Cp2 is unsubstituted; and
E is a C7 to C10 saturated hydrocarbon or aromatic hydrocarbon bicyclic bridging group.

### Claim 5 (depends on 4)

The compound of claim 4, wherein each X is Cl.

### Claim 6 (depends on 1)

The compound of claim 1, wherein at least one of Cp1 and Cp2 has a substituent selected from H, a halide, a C1 to C36 hydrocarbyl group, a C1 to C36 halogenated hydrocarbyl group, a C1 to C36 hydrocarboxy group, or a C1 to C36 hydrocarbylsilyl group.

### Claim 7 (depends on 1)

The compound of claim 1, wherein at least one of Cp1 and Cp2 has a substituent selected from a C1 to C8 alkyl group or a C3 to C8 terminal alkenyl group.

### Claim 8 (depends on 1)

The compound of claim 1, wherein:
Cp1 is a substituted or unsubstituted indenyl or fluorenyl group; and
Cp2 is a substituted or unsubstituted cyclopentadienyl group.

### Claim 9 (depends on 8)

The compound of claim 8, wherein E is a C7 to C12 hydrocarbon bicyclic bridging group.

### Claim 10 (depends on 9)

The compound of claim 9, wherein:
