Danger monitoring system

A danger monitoring system, comprising:

• a first danger monitoring device communicatively coupled to a network, comprising:
• a microphone configured to continuously digitize environmental sound;
• a first memory storing an interval of the most recently digitized environmental sound, and storing a location identifier associated with the location of the first danger monitoring device;
• a first processor configured to determine whether the stored interval of digitized sound meets a threshold criteria for a dangerous event;
• and
• a first network interface configured to send a first danger observation data generated in response to a determination that the stored interval of digitized sound meets the threshold criteria, the first danger observation data comprising an audio data associated with a digitized dangerous event, a timestamp associated with the event, and the location identifier obtained in response to the determination that the stored interval meets the threshold criteria;
• a danger monitoring server communicatively coupled to the network, comprising:
• a second memory storing the first danger observation data received by the danger monitoring server from the first danger monitoring device, the first danger observation data being stored among a plurality of danger observation data in the second memory;
• a second processor configured to:
• verify the dangerous event digitized by the first danger monitoring device by comparing the audio data of the first danger observation data with the audio data of any danger observation data of the plurality of danger observation data whose timestamp has a proximity with the timestamp of the first danger observation data within a temporal threshold;
• and
• determine an event location of the verified dangerous event using the location identifiers and timestamps of the first danger observation data and any danger observation data of the plurality whose temporal proximity is within the temporal threshold and whose audio data is similar to the audio data of the first danger observation data;
• a second network interface configured to send a danger alert comprising the event location and an event timestamp;
• a danger mitigation device communicatively coupled to the network, comprising:
• a third network interface configured to receive the danger alert from the danger monitoring server;
• a screen;
• a GPS receiver;
• a third memory comprising map data;
• and
• a third processor configured to render a map on the screen, the map indicating at least a current location of the danger mitigation device, and the event location;
• a video recording device communicatively coupled to the danger monitoring server, comprising a camera, a fourth processor, a fourth memory, and a fourth network interface;
• wherein the video recording device begins retaining recorded video in the memory in response to the danger alert.
