Loom and method for creating an article

A device comprising:

• (a) a plurality of pegs, each including a rotational axis along a length of the plurality of pegs;
• (b) a plurality of weft guides, wherein each individual weft guide is in communication with an individual peg of the plurality of pegs, and the plurality of weft guides are in an alternating relationship so that some of the plurality of weft guides extend in a first direction and some of the plurality of weft guides extend in a second direction
• (c) a plurality of rotation devices in rotational communication with the plurality of pegs;
• (d) an actuation device having one or more actuation gears engaged with the plurality of rotation devices and one or more rotation gears;
• (e) a translation mechanism engaged with the one or more rotation gears;
• and
• wherein movement of the translation mechanism results in rotation of the plurality of rotation devices, the plurality of pegs, the plurality of weft guides, or a combination thereof so that some of the plurality of weft guides move from extending in the first direction to extending in the second direction and some of the plurality of weft guides move from extending in the second direction to extending in the first direction.
