Abstract
A computer system includes a chassis, one or more hard disk drives coupled to the chassis, and one or more air passages under at least one of the hard disk drives. The air passages include one or more air inlets and one or more air outlets. The inlets direct at least a portion of the air downwardly into the passages. The passages allow air to move from the air inlets to the air outlets.

A tray for mounting data storage devices in a computer system, the tray comprising:
- a base structure;
- and
- a clamping bar pivotally coupled to the base structure, wherein the clamping bar is configured to:
- retain data storage devices in an installed position on the base structure, when the clamping bar is in a closed position;
- and
- allow installation or removal of data storage devices, when the clamping bar is in a raised position.

- a clamping bar configured to be pivotally coupled to a tray for mounting data storage devices, wherein the clamping bar is configured to:
- retain data storage devices in an installed position on the tray, when the clamping bar is in a closed position;
- and
- allow installation or removal of data storage devices from the tray, when the clamping bar is in a raised position.

- installing a computer system in a rack, wherein the computer system comprises a tray with at least one clamping bar pivotally coupled to the tray, wherein the installing comprises:
- lowering the clamping bar to a closed position on a plurality of data storage devices located in the tray, such that the clamping bar holds the data storage devices in the tray.
