Abstract
A computer-implemented method for transferring data over a bus from a host to a device is presented. The method includes determining a size of the data to be transferred, transferring the data using normal mode when the size is below a threshold, and transferring the data using burst mode when the size is equal to or larger than the threshold.
Claims15
A computer-implemented method for transferring data over a bus from a host to a device, the method comprising:
- determining a size of the data to be transferred;
- transferring the data using normal mode when the size is below a threshold;
- transferring the data using burst mode when the size is equal to or larger than the threshold;
- transferring the data to a first address space when the size is below the threshold;
- and
- transferring the data to a second address space different from the first address space when the size is equal to or larger than the threshold.
A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium comprising instructions which when executed by a computer cause the computer to:
- determine a size of the data to be transferred;
- transfer the data using normal mode when the size is below a threshold;
- transfer the data using burst mode when the size is equal to or larger than the threshold;
- transfer the data to a first address space when the size is below the threshold;
- and
- transfer the data to a second address space different from the first address space when the size is equal to or larger than the threshold.
A system for transferring data over a bus from a host to a device configured to:
- determine a size of the data to be transferred;
- transfer the data using normal mode when the size is below a threshold;
- transfer the data using burst mode when the size is equal to or larger than the threshold;
- transfer the data to a first address space when the size is below the threshold;
- and
- transfer the data to a second address space different from the first address space when the size is equal to or larger than the threshold.
