System and method for generating EMS signal

A method for generating an electrical muscle stimulation (EMS) signal, the method being performed by the EMS signal generating system, the method comprising:

• acquiring virtual reality information;
• acquiring body information of a user;
• calculating an EMS signal value based on the virtual reality information and the body information of the user;
• and
• outputting an EMS signal based on the signal value,
• wherein
• the virtual reality information includes virtual space information, virtual object information, and character information corresponding to the user, and
• the calculating comprises
• calculating a mechanical interaction that has occurred between the virtual object and the character in the virtual space,
• determining a target muscle and an objective muscle, based on the calculated mechanical interaction,
• wherein
• the objective muscle is a muscle to which the EMS signal is applied, and
• the target muscle is a muscle to which a force will be applied by the user in response to the application of the EMS signal to the objective muscle, as the user's reflex reaction to the application of the EMS signal, and
• calculating the EMS signal value based on the calculated mechanical interaction and the determined objective muscle.

A non-transitory computer-readable recording medium in which a program that performs the following process of:

• acquiring virtual reality information,
• acquiring body information of a user,
• calculating an EMS signal value based on the virtual reality information and the body information of the user;
• and
• outputting an EMS signal based on the signal value,
• wherein
• the virtual reality information includes virtual space information, virtual object information, and character information corresponding to the user, and
• the calculating comprises
• calculating a mechanical interaction that has occurred between the virtual object and the character in the virtual space,
• determining a target muscle and an objective muscle, based on the calculated
• wherein
• the objective muscle is a muscle to which the EMS signal is applied, and
• the target muscle is a muscle to which a force will be applied by the user in response to the application of the EMS signal to the objective muscle, as the user's reflex reaction to the application of the EMS signal, and
• calculating the EMS signal value based on the calculated mechanical interaction and the determined objective muscle.
