Abstract
An electrostatic charge image developing toner includes a toner particle, a polishing agent particle, and a fatty acid metal salt particle, wherein a rate of the fatty acid metal salt particles strongly attached to the surface of the toner particles is equal to or greater than 50% by number with respect to the fatty acid metal salt particles attached to the surface of the toner particles.

An electrostatic charge image developer comprising:
- an electrostatic charge image developing toner comprising:
- a toner particle;
- a polishing agent particle;
- and
- a fatty acid metal salt particle,
- wherein a rate of the fatty acid metal salt particles strongly attached to the surface of the toner particles is equal to or greater than 50% by number with respect to the fatty acid metal salt particles attached to the surface of the toner particles;
- and
- a carrier containing magnetic particles and a resin coating layer coated on a surface of the magnetic particles, wherein
- the strong attachment rate is determined by dispersing 10 g of toner in 40 ml of an aqueous solution having 0.2% by weight of a surfactant, stirring the dispersion at 500 rpm for 30 seconds, centrifuging the mixture at 10,000 rpm for 2 minutes to remove a supernatant, and then, drying at 25° C. for 24 hours to obtain a toner subjected to the first pretreatment, and dispersing 10 g of a toner subjected to the first pretreatment in 40 ml of an aqueous solution having 0.2% by weight of a surfactant, subjecting the dispersion to ultrasonic vibration at an output of 60 W and frequency of 20 kHz for 1 hour, after that, the mixture is centrifuged at 10,000 rpm for 2 minutes to remove a supernatant, and then, drying is performed at 25° C. for 24 hours to obtain a toner subjected to the second pretreatment, the toner that is subjected to the first pretreatment and the toner subjected to the second pretreatment are subjected to fluorescence X-ray measurement to measure Net intensity of metal elements contained in the fatty acid metal salt particles, and the strong attachment rate is determined by the formula:
- ((Net intensity of toner subjected to second pretreatment/Net intensity of toner subjected to first pretreatment)×100).
