Abstract
The invention provides a process apparatus and associated method comprising at least one elongate hollow semi-permeable member, at least one anode and at least one cathode. The anode and cathode are arranged radially and concentrically with respect to the semi-permeable member.

A process apparatus comprising at least one filter element, the filter element being an elongate hollow semi-permeable member;
- at least one anode;
- and at least one cathode;
- wherein at least one anode and at least one cathode are semi-permeable, such that liquid can pass therethrough;
- wherein the anode and cathode are arranged radially and concentrically with respect to the filter element;
- and wherein the filter element is either:
- inside of the at least one anode and the at least one cathode, or outside of the at least one anode and the at least one cathode.
