Abstract
A method for manufacturing at least one transportation tube having a plurality of transportation tube sections for a high-speed transportation system. The method includes manufacturing the tube sections in-situ adjacent to an approximate path of the transportation system where the tube sections are to be positioned.

A mobile tube fabrication apparatus configured for manufacturing at least one metal transportation tube of a passenger vehicle transportation system in-situ at least along an approximate vehicle path of the transportation system, the apparatus comprising:
- a foundry configured for manufacturing the metal tube wall material;
- a roller configured for rolling the tube wall material to achieve a uniform wall thickness for the tube wall material;
- a material bender configured to bend a tube wall material into a cylindrical shape;
- and
- a welder configured to weld a seam between ends of the tube wall material to form a tube section.
