Separation unit for microbial and scale treatment

A microbiological treatment unit for cleaning a fouling constituent from a fouled process stream using a magnetic field, the microbiological treatment unit comprising:

• a magnetic separation unit, the magnetic separation unit configured to reduce a concentration of the fouling constituent in the fouled process stream to create an effluent stream, the magnetic separation unit comprising:
• a separation vessel, the separation vessel configured to receive the fouled process stream, the separation vessel having a body with an external surface, the body defining an interior cavity,
• more than one mounted magnet partially adjacent to the separation vessel, each mounted magnet configured to generate the magnetic field, such that the magnetic field encompasses the magnetic field generated by each mounted magnet, the magnetic field operable to remove the fouling constituent, each mounted magnet comprising:
• a magnet motor adjacent to the external surface of the separation vessel;
• a shaft connected to the magnet motor, the magnet motor configured to rotate the shaft, the shaft extending into the interior cavity of the body of the separation vessel;
• and
• a magnet connected to the shaft, the shaft configured to rotate the magnet, the magnet having a shape, the magnet configured to generate the magnetic field,
• wherein the rotation of the magnet generates the magnetic field,
• a circulation pump fluidly connected to the separation vessel, the circulation pump configured to receive a circulation feed from the separation vessel to produce a circulation return, wherein the circulation return is recycled to the separation vessel;
• and
• a sampling point fluidly connected to the separation vessel, the sampling point configured to allow removal of a sample, wherein the sample comprises a fluid from the separation vessel;
• and
• a clean collection vessel, the clean collection vessel configured to receive the effluent stream.
