Abstract
Valproate is useful as an antifungal agent. The valproate compositions can be used to treat fungal infections. The valproate compositions can be formulated as topical antifungals.

A topical formulation comprising 2 mM valproate (VPA) or 2 mM valproic acid and 0.1 M sodium chloride.
A method of treating a fungal infection in a subject, wherein the method comprises administering a formulation comprising 2 mM VPA or 2 mM valproic acid and 0.1 M sodium chloride.
