Medical devices for mapping cardiac tissue

A system for mapping electrical activity of a targeted cardiac tissue region in a body, the system comprising:

• a catheter comprising a distal end including a multiple electrode structure, the multiple electrode structure configured to sense a plurality of signals generated by the cardiac tissue over a period of time;
• a processor electrically coupled to the multiple electrode structure, the processing being configured to:
• receive the plurality of signals;
• determine propagation angles for the plurality of signals, the propagation angles including at least one propagation angle exceeding a threshold level of randomness;
• generate data sets for each electrode of the multiple electrode structure, wherein the data sets are based on the plurality of signals sensed by the multiple electrode structure and include the determined propagation angles for the plurality of signals;
• and
• generate a propagation map using the generated data sets, the propagation map including a visual indicator corresponding to the at least one propagation angle exceeding the threshold level of randomness.
