A control apparatus for a dynamic power transmission apparatus, the dynamic power transmission apparatus including a differential, an electric generator, an electric motor, and a fluid coupling, the differential divides dynamic power output by an engine to a driving wheel and the electric generator, the electric generator generates electric power such that the electric motor is driven by the electric power and torque of the electric motor is output to the driving wheel and to charge an electric storage apparatus with some of the electric power, the electric motor being disposed at a position apart from a transmission path along which the dynamic power of the engine is transmitted to the driving wheel through the differential, the fluid coupling being disposed between the electric motor and the transmission path, the control apparatus comprising:
- an electronic controller configured to restrict the charge of the electric storage apparatus with the electric power generated by the electric generator, depending on a state of the electric storage apparatus, and the electronic controller is configured to control the fluid coupling to differentially rotate and to drive the electric motor by the electric power such that a dynamic power loss is generated in the fluid coupling, when restricting the charge of the electric storage apparatus, wherein
- the electronic controller is configured to control the torque of the electric motor such that a power, which is of power output by the engine and with which the electric storage apparatus is incapable of being charged, is equal to a power of the dynamic power loss by differential rotation of the fluid coupling.
