Control device for a yaw system of a wind power plant

A control device for a yaw system of a wind turbine of the type having a supporting structure and a machine support rotatably mounted on the supporting structure for rotation about a yaw axis, the control device comprising:

• at least one adjusting device connected between the supporting structure and the machine support of the wind turbine, the at least one adjusting device comprising:
• a drivetrain having a drive element and a gear mechanism;
• a passive damping member connected between the drive element and the gear mechanism, the passive damping member damping rotational movement of the machine support relative to the supporting structure about the yaw axis;
• at least one yaw brake operable to selectively rotationally fix the machine support on the supporting structure, the yaw brake engaging between the passive damping member and the gear mechanism of the drive train of the adjusting device;
• and
• a drive element brake operable to selectively block the drive element;
• wherein the drive element is operable as an active damper, by means of which a rotation movement of the machine support, caused by wind, relative to the supporting structure about the yaw axis is damped.
