Abstract
Provided is a planographic printing plate precursor including: a support; and an image recording layer formed on the support, in which a region on the plate surface on the image recording layer side from an end portion of the planographic printing plate precursor to a portion inside the end portion by 5 mm contains a polymer containing a functional group represented by the following Formula (A), and the content of the polymer per unit area in the region is greater than the content of the polymer per unit area in a region other than the above-described region by an amount of 10 mg/m2 or greater. —Si(X)m(R3)n (A)

- the content of the polymer per unit area in the region is greater than the content of the polymer per unit area in a region other than the above-described region by an amount of 10 mg/m2 or greater,
- —Si(X)m(R3)n (A)
- in Formula (A), X represents an alkoxy group, an aryloxy group, an acyloxy group, a hydrogen atom, or a hydroxyl group, R3 represents a hydrocarbon group, m represents an integer of 1 to 3, and in a case where m represents 2 or 3, X's may be the same as or different from each other, n represents an integer of 0 to 2, and in a case where n represents 2, R3's may be the same as or different from each other, and m+n is 3.
A method of producing a planographic printing plate precursor which includes a support;
- and an image recording layer formed on the support, in which a region on a plate surface of the planographic printing plate precursor on the image recording layer side from an end portion of the planographic printing plate precursor to a portion inside the end portion by 5 mm contains a polymer containing a functional group represented by the following Formula (A), and the content of the polymer per unit area in the region is greater than the content of the polymer per unit area in a region other than the above-described region by an amount of 10 mg/m2 or greater, the method comprising:
- an image recording layer forming step a of forming the image recording layer;
- a coating step b of coating a region of a part of the image recording layer which is formed by the step a with a coating solution containing the polymer such that the coating solution and the region overlap each other;
- and
- a cutting step c of cutting the region coated with the coating solution such that the region on the plate surface on the image recording layer side is in a range from the end portion of the cut planographic printing plate precursor to a portion inside the end portion by 5 mm,
- wherein the steps are performed in order of the step a, the step b, and the step c or in order of the step b, the step a, and the step c, on the support,
