Abstract
An electrolysis cell includes an anode that has a low-density region formed from activated carbon and a high-density region formed from a plurality of graphite cylinders. There is a porous barrier that allows transport of water between the anode and a corrosion resistant cathode.
Claims20
An electrolysis cell, comprising:
- an anode comprising a low-density region, comprising activated carbon and graphene nanoplatelets saturated with a non-oxidizing anion electrolyte, and a high-density region formed from a plurality of graphite cylinders;
- a corrosion-resistant cathode;
- and
- a porous barrier that allows transport of water between the anode and the cathode.
