Abstract
Non-durable self-supporting flexible containers.
Claims18
A non-durable self-supporting flexible container comprising:
- a product volume made from a flexible material and configured to contain a fluent product;
- a structural support frame, which supports the product volume, wherein the structural support frame is formed by a plurality of structural support members, wherein:
- each structural support member has an overall shape that is tubular and includes two defined ends, an overall length from its one end to its other end, and one or more cross-sectional areas each of which has an overall width that is less than the overall length;
- and
- each structural support member includes an expanded structural support volume made from a flexible material;
- a dispenser for a fluent product, in fluid communication with the product volume;
- and
- a squeezable actuation panel, which:
- is about flat;
- overlays the product volume;
- is at least 90% bounded by one or more of the structural support volumes of the structural support frame;
- and
- when squeezed deforms the product volume, to dispense a fluent product from the product volume and through the dispenser.

- is substantially bounded by one or more of the structural support volumes of the structural support frame wherein one or more of the structural support volumes of the structural support frame extend continuously around a periphery of the squeezable actuation panel;
- and
- when squeezed deforms the product volume, to dispense a fluent product from the product volume and through the dispenser.
